Instead, real-time leads were ignored, true suspects were not pursued and Dobyns’ telephone calls were illegally recorded. A veteran investigator of numerous high-profile incidents who declared “Jay [is] clean” was removed from the case. That removal was ordered, Dobyns writes, by the same supervisor first named in connection with Operation Fast and Furious “gunwalking” and the death of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, by insiders discussing agency abuses on the CleanUp ATF website. [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes the DOJ hierarchy continues to display the content of their character.

Anti-gun Oregon pediatrician shows deadly ignorance outside of specialty
What Grossman and those behind him are prepared to do when some of us tell him where he and they can go, and what they can do with themselves once they get there, remains unsaid. What level of state force he would see deployed and how many lives he would to see destroyed in order to bend gun owners who will not back up another inch to his will is perhaps something he has never considered, probably because he expects other men to execute his demands. [More]My latest JPFO Alert notes just because someone is highly educated in one field, that doesn't make him an expert in all.

Fla. Department of Law Enforcement asked to verify sheriff’s gun qualification
Lt. Weston’s remarkable and shocking allegations must be fully investigated, and the department must ensure that all doubts about certifications being earned are resolved. [More]Today's Gun Rights Examiner notes someone is lying, and asks those in charge to simply determine the truth.
A Sweeping Indictment
First—and it’s hard to believe this even happened, but numerous eye witness accounts attest to it—shortly before ending the cross-examination for the day Assistant Prosecutor Aritha Siringas picked up Wafer’s shotgun and pointed it directly at the jury, finger on the trigger.Or rather, the lack of a sweeping indictment...
One assumes this was done through negligence, rather than intentionally—it would be most awkward to see Prosecutor Siringas bring charges against herself for fourteen counts of aggravated assault with a firearm. [More]
If I were the defense attorney, I'd introduce Cooper's rules and then refer them to the prosecutor's misconduct.

We're the Only Ones Proper Enough
Sheriff's report: 19 shots in friendly-fire incident 'proper' [More]I don't know what's more proper -- opening fire on one of their own or missing with all 19 shots.
Fortunately, "'multiple' mobile homes and cars had been hit," to add to the propriety of the situation and so that the incident wasn't a total loss.

REESE UPDATE: Hearing to Reduce Bond
AUSA Armijo claimed that Terri Reese had not complied with the court’s request to disclose all assets and financial information. She claimed that Terri still has anger at the U.S. government and had not had any mental health treatment. AUSA Armijo also informed the judge that the government is seeking an upward departure from the sentencing guidelines. AUSA characterized Terri’s actions as “a threat to national security.” She further claimed that Terri needs “anger management” and a “full mental health evaluation.” Terri would face over five years and to date she had only served approximately seven months. AUSA Armijo claimed the only reason she was released before trial was for medical issues. AUSA Armijo also claimed that there were also obstruction of justice issues related to Terri’s trial testimony. [More]Terri still has anger at the U.S. government?
I wonder why.
Careerist Armijo would have fit right in with the Revolutionary Tribunals.
Official terrorists got away with it then and are getting away with it now.
You've spread the word and helped, right?

I note most "gun groups" and "gun bloggers" have totally ignored the direct impact allowing illegal immigrants to follow a "pathway to citizenship" will have on the electorate and the future of gun rights in the legislatures and the courts, allowing endorsed Republican sell-outs to beat better candidates in the primaries. "Single issue," you know.
Wait 'til these guys start upping the "gun deaths" and we get the blame. Maybe then those who have been silent will start to notice another direct impact this madness has on RKBA.
Meanwhile, go back to sleep, all who will not see, will not hear, will not speak, and thus will be forced to act or give up. Pleasant DREAMs.
Sorry, Joe.
I've done what I can.
I hope enough others have, but I have my doubts.
That was a direct result of smaller voices being drowned out by the establishment, and most who hear those smaller voices not lifting a finger to help spread the word. What that means is, the information stays trapped in an echo chamber.
Regular Gun Rights Examiner/WarOnGuns Correspondent russn8r makes a valiant effort under the WND piece in "comments."

This Day in History: August 8
The Inspector of Music will see that exact uniformity in the different beats prevail throughout the army. the signals of the drum as pointed out in the regulations are to be continually made use of and pointedly attended to—the Drum and fife majors of the several corps composing this army will every day assemble to receive the instructions of the inspecter of music at such convenient time and place as he shall point out—this order to continue in force untill the inspector of music shall report them perfect in their duties. Bloomberg Moms target pro-gun candidate at Iowa State Fair
“An Iowa Firearms Coalition member passed this voicemail along earlier today,” the description accompanying the video reports. “Michael Bloomberg's Moms Demand Action group wants to pay for your parking, admission, and food at the Iowa State Fair. Just call their number to RSVP (note that this ‘grassroots’ event is being organized out of a San Diego, CA area code).” [More]This evening's Gun Rights Examiner report notes more of the AstroTurf roll-outs we've come to expect from this gang of elitist-funded frauds.
Iowa Alert
We have just received word that the anti-gun Bloomberg organization Moms Demand Action is planning on crashing Joni Ernst's appearance at the Iowa State Fair tomorrow, August 8! Joni Ernst, a senator in the state legislature and lieutenant colonel in the Iowa National Guard, is the pro-gun candidate running against anti-gun Bruce Braley for Tom Harkin's Senate seat. Because of that, MDA is sending e-mails and making phone calls as I type, recruiting their anti-gun, billionaire backed, astroturf activists to come to our fair and bushwhack Ernst when she's scheduled to speak at the Soap Box Friday morning at 10:30 AM. [More]Immediate action needed. Please share this alert with Iowa gun owners. Do it now.
UPDATE: Iowa anti-gun "grassroots" are being "coordinated" and reimbursed from California!
Spreading Throughout the Land
Do they broadcast in your area yet?
I wonder how Unarmed American Radio is doing... you know, a show specifically devoted to "gun control"...? There's popular demand for that, right?

Kapo of the Month
We need to become a society whose individuals do not carry devices specifically made to kill other individuals ... We need to become a society whose reverence for the value of each life does not permit the carrying of devices to extinguish human life. [More]Oh, look, an anti-gun pediatrician. How rare and unique!
And my, isn't he morally superior in his compassion! Why someone raping and killing his wife and children may be moved to tie him up and throw him downstairs so he doesn't have to watch!
Here, Perry, I made you a business card. No charge.
As is typical with the type who may be highly educated in one specialized field, but dumber than a fifth-grader in others, I see Perry makes the same old ignorant assumption about what technology and developments the Founders would be horrified by.
I wonder if he's ever stopped to think about how many people will die if the state tries to carry out that which he demands, but lacks the guts to carry out himself. By "only a start," it does leave open the question of what he sees as the "final solution."
ALSO: Workman weighs in. Glad to see putting "progressive" in quotation marks the same way we do with "assault weapon" is becoming a standard practice.
You Know, Assault Armor
"We're not talking about just a standard bullet-proof vest," he said. "We're talking about body armor that is designed for warfare, designed to protect against law enforcement ammunitions." [More]Two visions of America: Guess which one Rep. Prozi here is working to actualize. You'd think this 監督, whose family was sent to an internment camp, ought to know better than to encourage and enable a monopoly of violence. Ah well, "progressives" and Opposite Day, no doubt with a heaping helping of either Stockholm Syndrome or just plain personal ambition...
So naturally:
Honda said it has been endorsed by law enforcement organizations including the California State Sheriffs' Association, the Fraternal Order of Police and the Peace Officers Research Association of California, according to Honda.Say, was that last bit written by the Department of Redundancy Department?

We're the Only Ones For the Children Enough
An off-duty MTA police officer accidentally discharged his weapon at his Long Island home Tuesday, shooting his 3-year-old son in the chest ... It wasn't clear if multiple shots were fired, or if the bullet ricocheted. [More]Yeah, I remember when I used to "accidentally" shoot feral sons Uday and Qusay, back when they were that age...
I even remember what I used to say to them when trying to recall many rounds "went off."
