We're the Only Ones Not Disciplined Enough

A New Matamoras man avoided a trial after pleading guilty Monday to being in possession of a police officer’s stolen gun.

Anthony Kennedy
, 24, was set to stand trial today, accused of stealing a handgun in March from an unmarked police cruiser assigned to Sgt. Craig Brockmeier of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office...

Brockmeier was not disciplined over the incident.

He should have let a jury decide that he was just securing a loose weapon from an irresponsible possessor of such to keep the children safe.

He didn't try to return it, because whoever owned it had already demonstrated his complete disregard for public safety, and he feared returning it would place the public at risk again, especially since the irresponsible jerk was not disciplined for his dangerous breach.
