Crackdown Smackdown

LEGALLY held firearms will be seized and destroyed by police if licences are not renewed on time, the PSNI in north Antrim has warned.

Imageine the public outcry if the police applied that same policy to driver licensing...

"Now police are stressing that officers do not have a statutory duty to send out reminders - although they still will - and that it is up to drivers to take the initiative themselves."

As much as I hate new laws, I would support one that made it a federal crime for any government agency, or anyone working under orders from a government agency, to destroy any firearm.
