A "Gun Crime" in Albany

“Yet again, another young man is going to jail for the next five years for carrying a gun on the streets of Albany County. I hope every young man realizes that you don’t have to use, or even show off the gun, just having that weapon can land you in prison for a long time,” said Soares.

"Shall not be infringed..."

"Enforce existing gun laws..."

"Shall not be infringed..."

"Enforce existing gun laws..."

Gee, I don't know what to make of this, especially with all the respect the Albany PD showed for the Fourth Amendment, too...

I don't know the character of the "young man" in question. He could have been a very bad hombre indeed. On the other hand, the presumption during a traffic stop is supposed to be that he is one of us--a gun owner keeping and bearing arms for defense of self or community, or for whatever damn reason he pleases--as is his unalienable right.

NOTE: As of post time, the Empire State News site where this story is posted will not open from the title link.

Right to carry a handgun? In Spitzer's empire? Hah! Handgun possession in the state of New York is limited to permit holders whose handguns are listed on the permit. And most judges restrict carry to premises, shooting range, or hunting, even though the blatantly unconstitutional "law" gives them no such authority.

Mr. Soares is a sorry waste of air. Another self-servant who violates his oath of office every day. I call that treason, but I won't hold my breath waiting for these miscreants to hang.

Stuff like this is precisely why guns are so important. Become obsessed with guns because our enemies are absolutely obsessed with them.

When do we put a stop to this treason??
