The Thing That Menaced Walthamstow

The .22 calibre short round bullet was found at the entrance of the 99p Stores in Walthamstow High Street...

Good thing there was a licensed gun owner who believes in enforcing existing gun laws nearby to handle this horror!

I mean, really: "How can you feel safe..."?

I do have one thing I'd like to say to Mr. Khan, though...

complete with enough gunpowder for it to fire itself
and all this time I thought guns were doing the firing by themselves.

Melodrama. "Let's wet ourselves and run in circles because a tiny, weak, cartridge was found lying around." Maybe we should get together an army of bunnies and butterflies and take over their country.

The bullet, of Swiss origin, was still in its brass casing, complete with enough gunpowder for it to fire itself.

Daaaaamm, but the Swiss are clever! Reminds me of the story about how a German company claimed to have extruded the finest, smallest diameter wire in the world. The Swiss acquired a sample, drilled a lengthwise hole in the end, tapped it, threaded a screw into it and sent it back to them.

None of my "bullets" is of Swiss origin, and therefore aren't smart enough to fire themselves. Besides, they all signed the pledge not to.

I was looking really hard for the clue that would identify this as satire. Sadly, I found none.

To paraphrase and borrow from a comment posted on a link I sent you previously ...

The British used to rule the world, now they cower before a .22 Short. .... Churchill would be proud!
