“Have I Said or Done Something to Offend You?”

Oh, gee, I don't know, Bob Barr campaign.

This proves even more that Barr is a coward and not deserving to run for president but as a democrat. Barr, hasn't the balls to address this issue of gun control and some of the worst ever to be on the books with his whole hearted help. Barr, knows darn well he's guilty as charged on gun control and is now having his manager do this dirty work by trying to open the door to get this subject talked about. Frankly (pun intended) thats Barr's job to show he's a man who can take charge of situations and not run from them like a little girl from a spider.
Bottom line: Bob Barr sucks and so does the LP for not dealing with this issue any better than Barr has.

AGAIN, we see a candidate defending -- or pretending he didn't do it or ddn't MEAN it -- anti-constitutional legislation he endorsed in order to suck up to people who would NEVER vote for him EVER because of his right/conservative leanings on other issues. NEVER.
Alienating the loyal libertarian/conservative voter base will give the election to Obama. McCain doesn't get it either, with his ration-free-speech law. That is anathema to Americans. Obama promises streets paved with gold and choirs of angels flying out his a--. HIS base WORSHIPS HIM.
Almost as if it were all planned...
Obama's mother said "He'll be a president for THE WORLD."
Chilling, considering what THE WORLD is like and what THE WORLD wants.

My comment at the site:

Barr went out of his way to get the Lautenburg Amendment passed, and has never once answered to gun owners as to why he did it nor has he given any indication that he’s changed his stripes since then. On an online interview, his campaign ducked the question and tried to spoon-feed us the same political doublespeak that we’ve come to expect from every other candidate.

The only thing that stands in the way of my voting for him is his dishonesty, his refusal to be forthcoming, and his lack of integrity in doing so.

Character counts.

Defender, I know what you mean to say but Barr is not defending himself. That coward is having other people do it for him. He's not a man who can stand on this own two feet and be in charge, saying and making his own points and allowing the chips to fall where they will.
Sometimes I see people who I very much disagree with but they stand behind what they believe in. They stand up for what they believe in because they are not back room slime balls. Barr has done nothing to show he's anything but a back room slime ball.

I happily gave $800 to the Ron Paul campaign (I am not rich), and I would do it again. I will not give one cent to Bob Barr. His voting record is bad enough, but his unwillingness to address it honestly now is unforgivable.

Good point, Joe. There HAVEN'T been any direct quotes from Barr on the issue, HAVE there?
I emailed them weeks ago asking for clarification. No reply. I feel so valued as a potential voter...
Better a perceived flip-flopper (who flops to the freedom side) than a child who closes his eyes and wishes the problem would just go away.
At his age and in his high position when he voted FOR Lautenberg, he should have known better. To be in Congress and ignore the Bill of Rights... I guess he thought there would never be consequences. They all do.

Defender, he not only voted for it but he worked with Lautenberg to make sure the bill was worded in such a way that it would pass any court challenges.
In the big picture, the republicans and the democrats who support the Second Amendment. Say they were blind sided by Lautenberg's gun laws that where buried in a spending bill. Had Barr not cleaned up the bill once the bill was challenged it would most likely failed in court. Than the republicans and democrats who support the Second Amendment would have been on notice about allowing such a bill to be buried in coming bills.
Bottom line is, Barr is the heart and soul of the Lautenberg gun laws. And he hasn't the balls to be a man about it. His action are that of a back room slime ball who is pure sucm. The LP is in deep by defending him by refusing to deal with the subject as he is.

Since the Fourth Box is wildly unpopular, it seems difficult to utilize the ballot box effectively when not one of the remaining candidates is willing to challenge the assumed powers the federal government.

I wonder if state legislatures and executives will be a better investment of a vote. The states have lost powers as well.
