We're the Only Ones Bristling Enough

Wayne County Sheriff Warren Evans today bristled at any suggestion that one of his detectives should have arrested Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick during last week alleged porch-shoving incident.
Yeah, just like he'd bristle if it had been you or me shoving one of his guys--even if his daughter didn't work for us. Oh--I see she resigned after the event--for "family" reasons.

What is it with trough-feeders bringing in the whole litter?

Anyway, I'm sure "Mayor Against Guns" Kwame's security detail would have assisted the deputy in his lawful duties, right? Otherwise, that would just make them a gang of armed thugs.

Like Frank's.

The sheriff should just about now lose the support of his deputies. He just told them he is a thug of a higher order and his allegiance is not to the law, as we already knew, nor even to his own people, but rather to another thug with better connections.

Sheriff Evans should probably not attend any hot crime scenes, friendly fire ain't all that friendly.

Hey look ... Detroit is full of thugs, some wearing badges, some wearing suits, and some wearing gang colors...

Jon,
That's pretty much common to all large cities. Some just have more than others.
