When Seconds Count...

...your permit is only a month-and-a-half away!
Luzerne County residents might have to wait a few days longer to obtain a gun permit, Sheriff Michael Savokinas said, but it’s all part of making the process – and the county – safer.

The wait can take up to the state-mandated guideline of 45 days, Savokinas said, which will include a thorough background check through local and state police, and a check of references.

I'm sure Sheriff Savokinas has also notified all violent criminals to hold up their activities for up to 45 days and obtained their full cooperation.

Another Web site has an article about Virginians in the Shenandoah Vally doubling the number of applications for concealed-handgun permits.
Part of the reason is the meth and oxycontin gang trade that uses the I-81 corridor. That brings street crime into the Valley as well.
I wonder if THEY all have THEIR permits. I doubt it. No one expects them to, even if they could. Shameful, when noncriminal citizens are held to a higher standard than thugs and smugglers.
I guess that's one of the INTENDED consequences of the War on Drugs. Before they take citizens' guns altogether.
Or TRY to.

Never ask for permission to do that which is your absolute human right to do. Never. Do not submit to those who try to kidnap you for exercizing your rights.

I never do, Kent.

Somehow, I figured that.
