Advertising Disclosure
This is a placeholder for now because I have not had ads on this blog for years. In case I ever start up again, this will be the policy in effect:
The FTC has some fool nonsense rules about ads on blogs or some such and presumes authority over the First Amendment to compel the unfunded mandate that we who earn ad revenues make some kind of disclosure so you don't think we're getting paid to say nice things about people or God knows what, meaning they must think you're stupid, too. I have had a few ads on this site in the past and may do so again if I think it's worth a try. Combined, I probably couldn't buy a box of good cigars each year, let alone a bottle of George T. Stagg, and that is somehow supposed to compromise my morality to force me to say nice things about products and services I don't mean simply in exchange for filthy lucre. If you believe that, leave now--you're not smart enough to be here. Bottom line, aside from welcoming a sponsor, I will do no posts related to their products or services, or reviews of what they offer.
About "The Only Ones"
The purpose of this feature has never been to bash cops. The only reason I do this is to amass a credible body of evidence to present when those who would deny our right to keep and bear arms use the argument that only government enforcers are professional and trained enough to do so safely and responsibly. And it's also used to illustrate when those of official status, rank or privilege, both in law enforcement and in some other government position, get special breaks not available to we commoners, particularly (but not exclusively) when they're involved in gun-related incidents.

WarOnGuns reciprocates links with liberty-oriented sites promoting the right to keep and bear arms for all peaceable individuals. If you have linked to me and don't see your site below, it's probably just because I haven't noticed it yet. Obama has no intention of taking the guns. That's why he named Joe "I'm the guy that wrote the originial AW ban" Biden as his running mate.
Sure, there were other reasons, and we're supposed to not fixate on our own personal ox being gored, but when the Democrats point to this anti-gun career politician's treason against the Bill of Rights to balance his experience in foreign policy with "a domestic issue"...
Is America THAT far gone? Or are we just supposed to think so?
Not only do I not care what they say or are going to say about guns, it makes me care less about ANY laws they'll be passing.
The Colonists faced "The Intolerable Acts." There was a tea party.
That will be one assurance that will be kept whether he likes it or not.

Nice similarity (the 3% sign) to the "boy scout sign". Goes well with their motto also: "Be prepared."
Well, of course the Wonder Boy isn't going to take our guns away. He'll send other men with guns to do that..
I've had complaints about the similarity with the Boy Scout sign, but remember they show their three fingers together, palm front. Not the same thing. Besides, as I pointed out to the BSA purists, is associating the Boy Scouts with the Second Amendment such a bad thing?
I think that as something to present to Obama and Biden (and others), we need the other 3% sign (palm in).
My initial conception when I came up with this interpretation was the Roman Numerals between two hands--one palm in, the other palm out. But I'm not an artist, so I did what I could from what I could find on the web--I jacked this hand sign from a chart.
If anyone actually knows how to draw (I do a bit, but I'm not that good), feel free to help us out here.

I think, briefly, the three spread fingers was to show support for George *W* Bush.
That ended shorly after he was inaugurated, I also seem to remember.
Let it now be ours, and let us display it proudly.
We could hook the fingers, like an eagle's talons. A fierce, free bird, once endangered but coming back.
As I have said before, I can't stop them from taking my guns. I am too old for a running gunfight, so I'll have to stand and fight. My health is as apt to get me as are they. However, not all of them would be around to celebrate the victory.
Obama or McCain might have trouble recuiting enough "other" to send to take somebody else's guns. At which point I will have contributed to liberty.
I propose using a V with an I in the middle. It would look similar to the hand sign that David showed and incorporate the number 3 with "V" for "Victory" or for Mike Vanderboegh, the one we can thank for lighting the fire.
I've looked, but haven't found a font that would work. And, I'm no artist.

Any similarity to a firearm sight picture is purely intentional.
I aim to make that politician an honest man (in this particular instance) - unintended consequences notwithstanding.
The Branch Davidians at Mt. Carmel near Waco didn't have any neighbors. The Weavers at Ruby Ridge did, but no one knew it was a federal setup from the start so they didn't know what they should do.
Most of us do have neighbors. They'll see, and the survivors will let them know why it was done to us. Some of them may remember serving in oreign lands where dissidence is death. Maybe it will wake them up and they'll speak out.
Certainly some people think gun=capital offense and will be glad to see us shot, burned, crushed. By the time it all starts, they'll be known.
If the other side wants a war -- while we only want our rights -- they will get one, but the rules of engagement won't be theirs to decide this time. Or the battlefields.
