This is transparent posturing for the press--making it seem like you're doing something without admitting you're totally in over your thick-skulled head on what to do about this. You idiots haven't got a clue--or if you do, you're making sure it stays buried. And you're willing to crush the freedom of every single one of your countrymen to keep your place at the trough.
Still, when you're in the protection rackets, it's not like a certain level of threat isn't good for "business"...

"Tracing" is just another dodge to strip us of our guns and our rights. Registries of any kind don't "trace" guns once they leave the hands of the law abiding; they don't show how many criminal hands a gun passes through.
Who do you think is left to take the blame?
I am constantly amazed that none of our so-called journalists ever ask, "How does that work? How does knowing a gun was stolen or levying a fine against a burglary victim tell you which bad guy has the gun and what he is going to do with it. Please explain."
