Sticker Shock

Thomas H emailed this to me:
Fellow in a 7 series BMW cut off my friend M*** this Saturday, stopping in front of him, crossing three lanes to do so, in Austin "Texas", to give him a double handed bird sign through his sunroof because M*** has NRA and GOA stickers on his truck and the fellow in the 7 series also shouted expletives.

Irrational in general, and extremely irrational considering M*** is a Texas CHL holder, ex-Nam paddy walker, Ex-LEO and any physical road rage would have been dealt with with 230 grainers if forced.

And us gun owners are extremist? Gimme a break... Pot, kettle...black.

In a situation like that, you just pray for a confrontation. On a side note, what are these BMW idiots going to do if/when the fertilizer hits the ventilator. I want to watch.

Maybe the BMW driver just hates "Only Ones" who settle road rage with "230 grainers."

heh. I drive a 7-series, but I get flipped off by the Subaru drivers for my SAF and GOA stickers.

so maybe it's not the BMW thing. Maybe its something else.

I've heard Austin referred to as Moscow on the Colorado, if that explains anything.

Yep, Austin is not really part of Texas anymore.

A real life example of the old joke: what's the difference between a porcupine and a BMW?

cranky

Not all Ex-LEOs are "only ones", some of them got out when they got sick of the militarization of their forces and liked it better when it was about "justice" rather than "law enforcement". If he was an "only one", he wouldn't be my friend.

Best not to be so quick to judge.

Thomas

Of course, unless the drivers talked to each other, there's no way to know the reason he was flipped off was because of the stickers (unless the "shouted expletives" were also anti-gun/anti-RKBA insults, but the posting doesn't indicate).

For all we know, perhaps the truck was high enough to put his diesel exhaust at a height where it was getting sucked into the Beemer's sunroof.

In any case, driving like that (using your car as a weapon and/or trying to force an accident - but then it's NOT an accident, it's INTENTIONAL and wouldn't be covered by the Beemer's insurance) could get you charged with a felony in California.

The wording was RKBA related.
