We're the Only Ones Wacky Enough

A judge in Las Vegas has dismissed a firearms charge against US comedian Jerry Lewis.
I'm delighted charges were dismissed. I don't even mind that his rep apparently lied about the gun and they let him off anyway.

I just want to make sure that this isn't because celebrities are "Only Ones," and that you and I will be given the same break.

From the article:

"The charge against the 82-year-old related to a gun seized from his baggage by security at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport in July.

Police had accused Lewis of carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and the gun was confiscated."

That's a bogus charge, so if we had the kind of money for a lawyer that Jerry Lewis does, I'm sure we would.

Of course, if we didn't have that kind of money, or had to sell of large portions of our belongings to raise it, too bad for us. It's not like there's any justice involved in our legal system...
