OFF the List

Tim is the president of TNW Firearms in Vernonia. Tim's a gun dealer, a firearms importer, a sponsor of full auto shoots and a member of OFF. But for some reason, NRA has chosen not to even list him as a candidate on their website.
I think we know the reason. It's just considered bad form in some circles to bring it up.

Am I happy I did not renew my membership a few years ago. The NRA is a group of country club elitist who like to shoot very high dollar o/u shotguns at fancy shotgun clubs/ranges. The country club NRA elitist wouldn't dream of owning a AR type firearm in a 204 or 223 to get some of the pest in the desert. That's too white trash and hill billy for them.
With friends like the NRA firearm owners don't need enemies.

This is why I never considered a Life (or any multi-year) Membership in the NRA. If I give them all my cash up front, where's the incentive to ever listen to me? I would rather make them beg for my money year after year. This was the first year we (family of five) didn't renew. The mail and phone calls were incessant at the beginning of the year. I returned every single request for renewal with a letter explaining why they were not getting my money this year. I also tried to explain it to every person that called. Eventually the mail and calls stopped. There's enough Fudds and Pragmatists out there for them to worry about lil disgruntled 'ol me.

JPFO

No, anon, and I've been through this before. JPFO is NOT a political group. They do not endorse candidates.

Just last week I did damage control when a well-meaning person had a letter published assuming JPFO was involved in the election. Because they are a tax deductible non-profit group, they cannot do this.

So sorry if it seems like I'm overreacting, but gun owners need to understand what the different groups do and don't do.

NRA, the obverse of the Brady Campaign, just the other side of the same coin.

Correction:

There are enough Fudds and Pragmatists out there. They don't have to worry about lil disgruntled 'ol me.

You think I would have this grammer thing down by now.
