We're the Only Ones Double Tapping Enough

Julian Alexander died after being shot twice in the chest by a police officer who was chasing four burglary suspects early Tuesday morning.

I guess maybe we'd better not protect ourselves and our homes after all. As we're not wearing immediately identifiable "Only Ones" trappings, how in the world are they supposed to be able to distinguish citizens from criminals? Or are they supposed to?

We're from the government and we're here to help.

Two in the chest, and they handcuff him? Not to mention, they find the perps, question them. You get executed for robbery now. Trigger happy, murderous only ones. Is there anything they don't know? Forget it Jake, it's Anaheim. Georges' rules of engagement: #8. Don't lead into shouting or gunfire, with your head. Peek around whatever cover you have so you can make a good decision about what to do. An exposed man is a good target, and any part of him will do.

Over at Dave Hardy's blog, there are some comments about this, someof them of course are mine.

Welter said investigators would interview the officer to determine what commands he gave to Alexander before he fired

What if someone is hard of hearing is that a right to legally kill them?

Of course the Scumanil injustice scam will circle the wagons to protect a murder.

I hope everyone has at least a baseball cap that says "POLICE." Might buy you a precious half-second.
Call police OR go out and handle it. Don't do both.

When there's a war, you must expect that those in the opposing side's uniform will be shot. Of course, there is also danger in dressing in the enemy's uniform to keep them from shooting you; you may be shot by your friends.
