Another aspect of the hearing that was disappointing (and this is the 2nd time it has occurred at a hearing in NJ) was one firearms owner who spoke was concerned only about his own guns. He railed about them trying to take away the guns he had a right to own and pass on to his children and grandchildren, but he ended his statement by saying, "you can take those big 50 bmg’s, but leave my guns alone". Nothing like being thrown in front of the train.I'll say.

It's always been this way in NJ. Attended 'hearings' in the late 80's on bills that would have banned all handguns, but those testifying wanted to make sure theirs weren't included.
In the mid 60s NJ embraced the FOID, FBI checks, separate purchase permit for every handgun, complete discretion of local cleo to approve or deny, id for ammo, flim flam florio's semi auto ban and now the .50 ban that will roll in antiques and blunderbusses.
NJ is lost, retreat and live to fight another day.
It isn't just New Jersey. Some gun owners aren't going to 'get it', ever.
Don't assume because someone own a gun that they are free men with backbone inside. These are the enablers that give hope and audacity to tyrants.
No citizen can or should ask council from such as these. And they will be of no help in pursuit of liberty.
They truly deserve contempt.

Huh uh! Nope! Nix! Nein! NO! They are not the ones dividing us. The ones dividing us are the "pragmatists" who believe they can deal away our rights and be rewarded with privileges. They are our Judenrat.
We cannot ascribe their cowardice and lack of principle to our enemies. Those are wholly owned characteristics of the type. Of course, our enemies will make use of them, but they didn't create the miserable creatures who would sell us.
That they will end up in the same ovens if our enemies win the battle is too horrible for them to contemplate, so in true cowardly fashion, they don't.
The pragmatists are the divisors. Our enemies just want to enjoy and exploit the dividend.
