it's a good old phrase, i believe cooper and farnam both have used it, which probably counts as an instant endorsement.

however, the best available definition, i would think, is anyone who would rather graze in the grass than consider even the occasional vigilance. that is, they trust the fences around the field to provide security.

certainly it has nothing to do with "belief in angels," or even an awareness of the "just world" hypothesis.
