Not to Keep Stirring the Pot, But...

U.S. Army To Buy $6 Million Of Riot Equipment

Stokes fears that troops will be used to quell civil insurrection in wake of economic crisis [More]
Here's the solicitation.

I know some will dismiss this as more paranoia, easily explainable as part of our foreign involvements, and others will see another puzzle piece for their domestic concerns.

This worries me two ways -
1 - they will be used in the US against us so Obama can see the coming storm or
2 - they will be sent in riot gear to a gun fight outside the US - anyone remember Beirut folks?
Either way we loose.

OK, not that I'm an optimist or anything but there is one possible logical explaination. This IFB is for Fort Leavenworth, home of the largest of the domestic military prisons. Maybe this is equipment for prison guards for when the Gitmo prisoners are transfered there full of hope and looking for a change of scenery.
Just sayin.

$6M is a lot of money to keep peace in ONE military prison, even if swollen with Gitmovians, and even if spent at the standard government negative discount.
