"Symbolizing the Resistance of the African People"

Besides, it's not like Mixon had a choice...

I think if I don't want any trouble, I'd best just get rid of these guns. Join me?

Either that, or I could stand shoulder-to-shoulder with men like this...

First off, let me say that Mixon is a very poor choice for a martyr. He was a murderous monster. Not someone who should be held up as an example of fighting injustice. It is a damn shame he was able to kill four policeman.

Having said that. Just what the Hell do we expect in terms of reaction of the public? Every day we see examples of ordinary citizens brutalized and killed for no good reason by police all over this nation with no consequences attending. Mixon, does not fit that category, but the people who are emotionally disposed at this moment to elevate him to something he was not do so because they are also emotionally disposed to see harm come to those who have escaped harm, by and large, no matter how egregious their trespasses against ordinary citizens.

Did we really expect there wouldn't be backlash at some point? The fact that it is unjustified in this particular case doesn't mean that huge pool of resentment isn't extant in our citizenry.

In this case, emotion has overridden reason, but that is often the case when reason has failed in all cases prior when anger and retribution would have been justified.

We are living in extremely dangerous times. The police have set themselves apart and above the community. They have become predatory. They have created a huge pool of resentment and murderous anger in the citizenry they no longer protect but herd, like so much livestock.

I do not condone what Mixon did. I do not adhere to the sentiments on display in this particular case. But I do understand the anger and emotional need for revenge for the long train of abuses to which all of us have become accustomed.

This fuse was lit a long time ago by predations of the "authorities" and has been kept burning by their excusing of crimes committed on their behalf against the citizen.

What we are seeing here is wrong and unreasonable, but it was to be expected. It is the very thing we have been warning against. It is the very thing we have all seen coming.

An indication of just how viral the anger and resentment is, is that in this case it is just so unjustifiable, but the emotional relief of seeing harm come to some of those deemed part of the "harmers" has replaced thought processes with emotional reaction of a very unkind and destructive nature.

Who could not see this coming? It was inevitable and is likely to spread, across all socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds.

Worse, you can be sure that the politicians who control the boys with the badges are aware of that anger, and will renew their efforts to disarm us all. Causing even more unpleasant reaction.

This is about one thing and only one thing. To let the police know that they are deeply hated.
I can't say that there are good men on the police forces because I never see or hear about the good cops pointing the finger at the bad cops. In my book if someone is collecting money from the taxpayers to enforce laws and they do it to everyone but themselves. They are criminals.
Here's an example of the pig demeanor. I'm bring home my daughter from dancing class. I'm in Boise city limits and I see a Meridian pig pull out of a parking lot going deeper into Boise city. There's three cars in front of me and one behind me and the pig behind him. We come to a light and every one stops. The pig goes into the left turn lane. The light turns green and the left turn arrow goes green as well. The cops sits at the green light, as I start to enter the intersection the cop jerks his car in front of my car which I might add is over 60grand. He puts his lights on and goes up behind the car in front of me. A new law in Idaho that states if a cop or fire engine is on the side of the road with the lights on. You have to stop or swing wide around. The pig has the white car pulled over about 150 feet pass the intersection. So I went way wide into the turn lane in the center of the road for turning. The pig jerks the front of his pig car at the side of my car and I'm in another lane altogether. What an asshole. He could have pulled up next to me and motioned he wanted to cut in. He could have motioned to the car in front of me to go through the intersection than pull over. I came very close to hitting him with my car when he pulled that stunt of cutting me off all at once.
Bottom line is this is the normal pig at work. Its easy to have zero respect for today's pigs. Respect is earned and thats something else they haven't a clue about or have earned.

I love the sign held up near the end:

LOVELLE
"StOOD
UP"
AGANiSt
POLiCE TERROR

Yes, unbeknownst to many the police are actually a transdimensional alien race -- the Agans.

They come from the same galaxy as Xenu and floated to earth on a moonbeam in 1904.

Whoever made that sign is sure going to be in trouble now that they've discovered the truth!

The shooter was actually a hero after the fashion of Buck Rogers. He was fighting the intergalactic forces of evil.

where was the march for the kid that got killed on the BART platform? you're not going to get anywhere ignoring that defenseless kid while supporting a murderer.

and you know, just because police are the most local appendage of a tyrannical government run amok, doesn't mean it's okay to shoot someone who is wearing a funny looking uniform because they want to talk to you and give you a silly little piece of paper.

i mean i realize that that's going to become theft or extortion at some point. still no justification. need an example?

gandhi didn't resist arrest, and neither did thoreau, nor MLK. wacky ideas about economics aside, these fellows knew that responding to simple oppression with overwhelming lethal force wouldn't solve anything, nor make their case for broader justice and peace.

What do you expect from the Uhurus/People's Socialist Party?

What do you expect from REv. Kenn Blanchard?

Two different sets of expectations, IMHO.

Although I don't condone what Mr. Mixon did either, I just have to say the filthy Oakland pigs deserved what they got for what they did on NEW YEARS DAY.

RIP OSCAR GRANT: AN INNOCENT YOUNG LIFE SNUFFED FOR NO REASON.

What happened to the OPD last week was KARMA.

Don't just hold a parade for Mixon, hold an even bigger parade for MR. GRANT so the ENTIRE NATION can see the REALITY OF THE STORMTROOPER THUGS WHO HAVE DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITY TO MURDER INNOCENT PEOPLE FOR FUN.

As for the 4 dead pigs: ROT IN HELL.
Mr. Grant is in Heaven right now.

BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) police shot Grant. Not Oakland PD.

SA, you nailed it! That is exactly the way I feel, and you put it in words better than I could.

Armatus, what you are saying is correct. However I'm sick to death and I know many others are as well of government passing the buck back and forth. BART did this dirty deed in Oakland. They are all brothers and work together. Its like being in city hall and they go that's not us in our department that made the mistakes its the office across the hall. I've even had departments in state government with the very same name passing the buck around, "not my job".
What you are doing is providing a cop out for parasites. A bottom feeder is nothing but a bottom feeder. I'm sick to death of the parasite game of passing the buck. Go to Walmart or any big store for that matter and ask the butcher who is putting meat into the meat case where the crackers are at. You can bet the butcher is going to help you or will get someone to help you. The butcher sees the fact he works for the store in the big picture and you are the customer. To keep the doors open and stay in a job the butcher knows the customer's needs need to be addressed. Parasites don't see it that way because they have hired killers with guns who will kill you if needed and take whatever they want.
