And, not one single citizen saw what was going on, put hands on his weapon and stopped the miscreant.

Not one single citizen had the presence of mind, alertness, and preparedness to put a stop to the miscreant.

Not a single citizen acted. Not one.

Should we just throw in the towel and declare defeat? Or do we acknowledge that God gave us a set of nuts and start taking responsibility for the peace in our communities? Do we forever rely on Big Daddy? Or do we stand with manly firmness and say NO! Murderous miscreants should be put down like rabid dogs.

And, Peace Officers, if any of you would attempt to find a way to prosecute a citizen who does the RIGHT THING, or assists the local prosecutor in building a case against a responsible citizen, you are worthy only of the contempt you rightfully earn.

Not one?

Hey David, I am from headland (8 miles from dothan, 20 or so from Geneva) my town is the same as Samson and I am just as shocked as everyone, I never thought this crap would go on around these rural towns, but apparently I was wrong, my heart goes out for the families,I can only imagine what the families are going through,I am glad my family members have signed up for their ccw's

This happened in Alabama without the psycho being cut down by an armed citizen? I expect it in a gun control utopia like the PDRK, but Alabama?!?

Well, anyway, the Dansers Macabre got the shooting spree they were hopng for, so now maybe we can finally get rid of that pesky 2A.

Over my dead body, and theirs, too.

I've seen reports that he had a rifle. Might not have been too easy to counter with a handgun.

Alabama does have many people that carry handguns often. The shooter was probably just lucky.

Also, Alabama isn't as 'firearm friendly' as you would think. The permits are 'may issue' (like California... it took me almost a year to get a permit), and we don't allow all NFA weapons (No SBR/SBS).

Kurt, I didn't know that Alabama was a "may issue" state. That's a real surprise.

I see we had 10 students shot in Germany too.

I suppose that'll mean it's a global problem and US sovereignty will have to bow to the UN.

I will not comply.

Two things you can count on to come out of this incident:

a. Renewed calls for the citizenry to be disarmed
b. The sheeple to all respond with a chorus of Baaaaa Baaaaa Baaaa

Why oh why wasn't there someone with a weapon and the balls the shoot this SOB!

I am personally curious about the " state of mind " of the shooter . As in was he on any medication to alter same ( antidepressants ect.. ) . In any event let the " Blood Dancing " begin.

Another thing that bugs me is why do these nuts always seem to use some variant of the Kalashnikov?

I can not recall reports of this happening with any of the following:
AR-15
Mini 14
M1 carbine
Steyr AUG
SIG 550

And that’s just what’s in the carbine class.

Then you have the full power semi-auto rifles:
M1A
M1 Garand
FN FAL
Browning BAR
Armalite AR-10
Remington 740/7400

And that doesn’t even get into pistol caliber semi auto rifles like the Marlin Camp 9.

I’m sure I could put together a much bigger list and you can bet the gun banners will. All over the misuse of one type of rifle that makes big headlines.

Crotalus,

In my local paper, a witness working at reliable metal products or some other places, the witnes and a co-worker was retrieving a few guns from the back but by the time he reached the front, the guy was dead.

Unfortunately here in bama, we have some ANTI's and few if any carry a ccw
