We're the Only Ones Getting Carried Away with Our Work Enough

A statewide manhunt was launched Tuesday after deputies say a Katy ISD police officer was abducted by a fellow cop. [More]
Let the average cud-chewer see Office Reyes with a gun and they shrug it off. Let them see you with a gun and let the bladder releasing begin.

We need to do what we can to change that societal perception, particularly in light of leg-furrowing hoplophobes like Chris Matthews dominating their sources for opinions. Which is why I continually give attention to the "Only Ones" files...

I feel sorry for poor Mr. Reyes, if he is caught and Hillsman is unharmed he will have to take a two week paid vaca.. er, uh, suspension. If she has been harmed or killed, it will be unpaid. And of course he may have to seek work in another department. Oh noes!

He had to make a split second decisions that combined hiding, planning, and waiting, boy!he is fast. We just don't know what pressures he and other officers are under. We should withhold judgment until it has been determined that what he did was "within dept. policy".

Hey! It could happen, we have seen worse end that way.
