We're the Only Ones Going Home to Mother Enough

A San Diego police officer is facing misdemeanor charges after witnesses say she got drunk and started waiving her gun around in a bar while off duty. Carlsbad police did not take the officer to jail. Instead, they released her to her mother. [More]
Now, like some of the comment posters, I don't want to hear that she got special "Only One" treatment. I'm sure the coroner would eventually release us to our family, too.

How does one "waive" a gun? Does it require a formal document or does one just say "No thanks, I already have one, see?" as they wave it around?

As for officers' discretion when was the last time anyone heard of anyone else be released to a family member under similar circumstances?

Guns and cops don't mix!

She must be fired, and then charges of disorderly conduct should be filed.

Another classic example of government parasites as our rulers looking out for each other.
Most cops today are punks and have little respect to the citizens. Cops today are a government run gang that abuses the citizens. When the city, county or state needs money they tell the cops to go out there and start writing tickets, no matter how petty. Many times I've heard of stories of people receiving tickets for going six mph over the limit when it drops from 35 to 30. Show any deemed disrespect, like question a cops actions and get the cattle prod and arrested.
Many folks are in the mind set that cops are what they used to be when they were, peace officers. No longer, they are law enforcement goons to criminals who have taking over the country.
Yea I know everyone here understands this. I just like to say it so the punks who work in the system can see we know who they are.
As far as this affirmative action parasite goes, she will just get talked to and life goes on.

I don't see how this is going to help the "officer", when the best part of her ran down her mother's leg. Did I say something out of line? Oh, please excuse me.
