Whoa, I Left the River Out and I Don't Know Why

Way back when, we talked about mondegreens. And then we talked some more.

This is one of the funniest examples I've seen.

And yeah, I know, internal links in the old posts are mostly dead and gone.

Incidentally, one of the worst examples is when Joan Baez presumed to sing "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down."

It was Stoneman's cavalry.

The original air guitarist. When I first saw him perform I wondered if he had cerebral palsy.

"Sooo much cavalry came...naaa nana na na naaa..." Ah, yeah, phoney joanie.

I watched with ill-disguised glee, as Baez dragged her sad sack, irrelevant ass from coast to coast, pathetically trying to remain en vogue, when her drugged out, burned out, wastoid audience had already flaked away. Watching a communist vainly try and fail is among life's little pleasures.
