Dear all American Brothers and Sisters

Please get rid of these guns.
You are a very intelligent and rich/ educated people, please TRUST IN GOD, not guns.
Do not fear, but analyse yourselves and you will see that your essence is a spark of divinity as you are human beings.

With this knowledge and your other endowments you can lead us to a better world.

You do not need guns.

Because a cop didn't control his weapon.

I typically resist posting on these as "Only Ones" stories--it just seems pointless and tasteless, and what more punishment could a person endure than the guilt that would surely drive a good man to lifelong misery?

Harish, it would seem, is not so restrained in his (her?) moral superiority that never passes up an opportunity to exploit a good blood dance. Nor are Felipe and Ronnie.

I note they're not calling on governments to disarm...

If any one of mankind's gods exists -- a big if in my opinion -- It doesn't seem to care much about human beings. In any encounter with a criminal, given a choice between trusting in God or trusting in a Smith and Wesson revolver, I'll pick the revolver. I have evidence it works.

argument is equivalent to "trust in god, not in toilets!"

Harish, I hope you live long enough to learn why you're mistaken. I felt the same way when I was young and stupid, too. Now I'd rather be a live defendant than a dead victim. Think about it.

36 hours later and they still haven't posted my coments.
Thank god for the free-unbiased-watchdog press.

The freedom of the press gives them the right to publish what they wish, subject to suit for libel. They do not have to print your opinion yet are free to print their own.

Likewise, if they do not want to possess a weapon, that is their choice also.

What I find distasteful is that they are allowed to continuously advocate for the deprivation of others' rights. If they published articles condemning the practice of religions or attempted to disenfranchise segments of the citizens, then the citizenry would react. 2nd Amendment rights? Oh, let the NRA handle it. If it matters to you, let the media know. Get involved. Work to change attitudes. Inform others. Just do something.
