The only things that are clear: Good, rational people don't behave like thugs. The presence of weapons doesn't change that. And rules don't stop rule-breakers. The "laws" are useless at changing these fundamental truths--which means they've been enacted for another reason altogether.Today's Gun Rights Examiner column looks at more of the exemplary behavior we've come to expect from our bread-and-circus clowns...I mean, sports heroes.

Thugism is part and parcel of major league sports.
Rap "artists" are frequent halftime entertainers. Over the weekend, Jeezy performed at some midday televised football game or other, in full thug regalia: sideways baseball cap, pants below butt. Fortunately, his microphone was messing up. Google "Bury me a G" for the obscene lyrics in which he specializes.
Remember the Janet Jackson bared breast during the Super Bowl? "I'm gonna have you nake by the end of this song," went the lyrics. Prime time, FAMILY time. "Wardrobe failure"? Sure, she wears one pastie every day, like brother Michael wore one glove.
I remember when there was at least the PRETENSE of decency.
