Except he was about as "conservative," if by that you mean true to the Constitution, as, say, Chris Ruddy and other false alternatives.

He's not the only one who worked and lived within sight of St. John's Church where the rafters still ring with Patrick Henry's "Liberty or Death" speech and NEVER GOT IT.
The entire state legislature, for example. Tim Kaine, now head of the Democatic National Committee. Former Gov. L. Douglas "one gun a month" Wilder. Former governor -- now Senator --Mark Warner. And ALL the rest of the media.
We are too accustomed to being tossed a bone and licking the hand that throws it in the dirt.
