Burn, Baby, Burn

I'd originally just been sent a link to the first video in this story and wondered if someone may have been trying to spread disinformation by putting out audio from another incident and get people to run with that -- plus I think it's good to be cautious noting all the different and changed stories coming out of Newtown. But this seems to pretty much confirm the plan was to torch the guy, and so now we need to ask why, and how that fits in with approved police protocols, because if they can use it against one "suspect," we have to ask ourselves if that's all it should take. [More]

What's the threshold? A level of fear necessary to open fire on innocent newspaper delivery women?

One other point: I saw Mark Fuhrman on Hannity last night, and he made a good case that Dornan wasn't the highly-trained Rambo he and everyone else made him out to be, but acted instead like a rank amateur and a cornered animal.  If that's the case, the cautionary tale becomes even stronger -- imagine if he had been. Imagine what several of such true operators could do.

And they'd be smart enough not to leave a public manifesto that would basically guarantee becoming identifiable manhunt targets.

On the other hand...

You can't believe anything these people say...

Is it just me, or does it not seem strange that a scrap of plastic could survive the fire that burns a human body beyond recognition... Sort of reminds me of the very convenient "terrorist's" wallet that survived the whole 9-11 thing... A little too convenient.

Believed to Belong to Fugitive Ex-Cop

California driver's license with name Christopher Dorner is recovered in same cabin where charred remains believed to be fugitive ex-cop are found, the Associated Press reports.

This guy wasn't Naval special warfare, he was just a plain old squid cop, a Master at Arms, which is the Navy version of an MP. Ask any infantryman in the Army or USMC what they think of MPs. We have a saying in the Army, "you can't spell wimp without MP." I can't imagine Navy cops would be any more competent. If this jackass could run the LAPD and the umpteen other SoCal LE agencies ragged for a week, I'd say a small group of guys who are honest to God trained killers would make this episode seem like a day in the park.

Despite all the chatter on patriot and gun websites about this, we're not the ones the LAPD and other keystone kops should worry about. We're law abiding citizens who just want to be left alone. It's the really bad people out there watching from places that truly wish harm on this country they should be worrying about. Now that they see the Emperor has No Clothes, some of those nightmare scenarios we've always feared and wondered why they haven't happened yet...well, I'm gonna guess the planning for those has started.

I would note that the San Bernadino police knew EXACTLY what their Brothers in Blue intended to do to Dorner. And they knew EXACTLY what that same Blue Wall had already done. I will not mourn that dead "officer". I instead thank Mr. Dorner for taking out the trash.
