That Explains It!

More fallout from this.

I'm afraid and I just don't understand the Second Amendment.

Now that's scholarship! Not to mention an endearing introduction that's sure to engage!

One thing: If you trust them, how come you don't trust them?

One other thing: If you do "gladly assist them," do you think you could come first?

Afterthought:  What happened to the "no one wants to take your guns" talking point the antis have been parroting every chance they get?

The bit about the amendment being created so the colonists could fight the British is hilarious, as the amendment dates from 1791, eight years after the colonists had won. And if the 2nd amendment is "bullshit", what does that imply regarding the First? I suppose the quoted email shows the value of a public secondary school education these days.

He knows they are losing.

Strange how he expects his fellow citizens to act decently in a crisis yet believes that possession of a firearm makes those same responsible citizens into psychos. He really didn't think that through. As far as I can tell he didn't think anything through.

Even if the idiot were right about the purpose of the 2A being to allow the colonists the ability to fight the British, that lends all the more credence to our interpretation of it: to allow us to fight a tyrannical government...not merely to hunt or to defend ourselves against home invaders. These people ain't too bright.

And the UK is proof positive that if the benevolent "rulers" just confiscate enough of the guns, knives, glass pub mugs and all the sharp objects in every kitchen, schoolroom, street corner... everyone will be peaceful and productive, never needing to worry about anything at all. But, of course, the police now need every terrible tool of war and a gangster attitude to "enforce" that wonderful peace.

A is not B. Logic 101. I trust you therefore I don't trust you = logical fallacy, a disconnect from reality and truth. a.k.a. Insanity. Reminds me of JPFO.orgs Uncle Jack comic, "Do Gun Control Nuts Have a Mental Problem?" Gotta feel sorry for em, but for charity's sake, remember Dewey set up a Dumb down education system that FDR (*spit*) Federalized. Thank the Good Lord if you can actually use Reason, cuz its in short supply and we ai'nt none better ner worse than anyone else, God just had mercy on some cuz it pleased Him. thanks for Yeoman's duty once again, David!
