Now there's a good definition of a silencer. (yes, I saw his not offensively stupid alternate definition later in his screed, but I actually like the one in his opening paragraph)
We need to immediately amend the NFA to include a legally enforceable version of this definition. Any device not meeting the above description is not a silencer and will not be subject to any federal restrictions. Think that'll make him happy?
Oops, bad editing. I started to say not funny, changed it to offensively stupid, and ended up with not offensively stupid.
His definition that was the whole point of his screed was just stupid and offensive.
The definition in the opening paragraph, where he explains to the reader what a silencer is, would be a nice definition to use in the NFA, as it excludes any real world suppressor small enough to be easily used. Let them keep the $200 tax on the imaginary silent and deadly silencers they keep harping about. And let us have a free market in noise reducing hearing protection.
