We'll Always Have Birnin Zana

Welcome to Wakanda, "Birthplace of Advanced Technology"! [More]

What, you didn't know that aliens in Africa were mining gold to repair the ozone layer with nanoparticles in 450,000 B.C.? (Yeah, I know that doesn't line up with "200,000 years," but best we don't bring that up.)

Speaking of history, I'm reminded of how my wife got points taken off a college paper, and that was decades ago. So the claims of paradise lost have been around a while.

And we know who destroyed it all, because they're evil and racist and fascist and everything, but the question is how Europrimitives would do that. War canoes of blue-painted savages paddling their way over oceans to raid, sack and burn an advanced civilization hardly seems plausible. Perhaps they were imported and given a pathway to citizenship? Is Bambadjan just returning the favor?

I expect a significant portion of the Black Panther audience to buy into the advanced culture delusion. I bet if you set up a fake online agency, you could sell all kinds of travel packages before getting caught.

There's an intent here. And somehow, I don't think those behind it really have the best interests of the people they're pretending to exalt in mind.

But even back then people were getting out of Dodge:
