Congratulations, idiots. You just lost all future business from me and every gun owner reading this who cares about the Second Amendment.
Perhaps you think America is ripe for Japanese-style gun control.
You are outrageously mistaken.
As Admiral Yamamoto is reputed to have said, “You cannot invade America. There is a rifle behind every blade of grass.”
It’s going to stay that way—no matter what subversion blossoming tyrant wannabes like foolish little Theo and his enablers, like you, dream up.
You couldn’t just sell cars and trucks, and not tamper with sacred institutions in your host country? You had to go and make an enemy of men like me?
I’ve seen what happens when Japan succeeds in disarming its victims. I note the Japanese government still hasn’t apologized to the people of China for the Rape of Nanking. It looks like Japan is none too popular there right now.
I’m going to do what I can to make sure Toyota Motor Sales, USA, is none too popular here.
You can do one of two things:
1. Fire the idiots responsible for awarding Theo his grant and apologize to American gun owners, or
2. follow Mr. Garrison’s advice.

David, I'm with you. First, as you are, I'm an advocate of self-determination (freedom and responsibility), otherwise known as Liberty. I resent corporate-backed attacks thereon.
I'm also an avid back roads driver, with the natural need for good 4WD gear. No matter how good Toyota's products, that isn't enough to counter their negative social impacts by promoting this kind of narcissistic, counterproductive nonsense. I can't buy their products and support them financially if this is the way they'll use my money.
Peter Drucker, known in some circles as "the godfather of modern management," once said that businesses should make the exact impacts they want to make in their market, and seek to reduce to zero all others. He said that social activism is destructive of the first task of management: business performance.
And Toyota's support for a pointless gun ban is a good example, because many of us will turn our sight to other vehicles whose makers aren't promoting this idiocy.
As to toad734, a "sniper" rifle could be any gun. Mostly, the guns we're talking about are used for target shooting and nothing else. If you want to put a check on violence and murder, start by ending abuse of government power. Governments killed far more innocents in the 20th century than all non-government criminals put together have for centuries. And the 21st century is off to an auspicious start.

- The 2nd is specifically about armed conflict. It'd be a better argument that hunting weapons are unconstitutional as they have nothing to do with militias or preserving the security of a free state.
the ignorance of the modern society, people with cell phones kill more people then people wielding fire arms, and if people would read and understand the constitution, political reps included, they would better understand the need of such non-negotiable admendments, if these admendments rights and freedoms do not fit your liking then you have the freedom to voice it, but not the freedom to remove my rights., and if living under such personal freedoms and rights is too trying for you then maybe russia, china, japan, iran, libia, or other like countries will be better fitting for you to relinquish your United States citizenship for and quit trying to ruin my day.
