Police Find Assault Weapon Near High Court

Officials at the Supreme Court and Metropolitan Police Department would not identify the kind of gun found, but a senior federal law enforcement official said it was a loaded MAC-10 assault weapon. It is capable of firing many bullets over a wide area in a few seconds. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing.

So is it semiauto or select fire?

Something about this isn't right. I've got nothing to go on here but instinct, so there's an excellent chance I'm all wet, but wouldn't it be interesting if the MAC-10 traces back to a department or agency, and it being left in a parking lot turns out to be another example of professionalism?

See! See! Since the AWB expired, assault weapons are flooding the streets! Or maybe only getting the streets dampened. < sarcasm off>

-sarcasm ON - FULL BLAST-
Now, David we must give our officers more credit than that! They took the gun from some punk 'gang-banger' and gently placed it down on the ground with gloves.

What does the USSC have to do with this? Just more scare-mongering.

Also, we all know either the Mac-10 doesn't exist or it belongs to law enforcement. All others are against the law and D.C. just won their battle to keep them out of town. Come to think of it, law enforcement are the only ones responsible enough to be trusted with guns. I know this to be true because D.C., NYC, Chicago, S.F, told me so.

Fantasy alert! Fantasy alert!

This never happened. All the really smart people said it couldn't happen if they got the laws they wanted. They got 'em, therefore this never happened.

Ahhh, gawrsh, dey jis be funnin' us.
