We're the Only Ones Exceptional Enough...

A Palm Beach County school police officer was arrested in Pompano Beach on Monday and accused of using a firearm while intoxicated, among other charges, according to Broward County sheriff's officials...Broward sheriff's officials said witnesses heard shots fired from the 1998 Red Mercury Marquis driven by Nicholas Sarnicola, 48, of Boca Raton, who works as a school officer at Boca Raton Middle School.
What did Wayne say to thunderous applause?

Oh, yeah:
[W]e believe in absolutely gun-free, zero-tolerance, totally safe schools. That means no guns in America's schools, period ... with the rare exception of law enforcement officers or trained security personnel.
Makes sense, doesn't it?

"Sarnicola was a detective for the Sheriff's Office in the 1980s and 1990s. In 1998, he was a candidate for the police chief position in Boca Raton, which went to Andrew Scott. He has worked as a Palm Beach County school police officer since 2002, working at both Olympic Heights High, west of Boca Raton, and Boca Raton Middle."

It appears this guy's law enforcement career path was on the way up and then took an abrupt nose dive. Detective to police chief candidate to school officer??? I'd drink a little, too.
