One Gun to Rule them All

How a `cute' 9mm pistol purchased by a frightened woman in Florida ended up in Lawrence Heights in the hands of a killer: First in a series on gun culture
I can't wait. I'm sure they'll have plenty of "good" gun stories to balance ones like this, right?

"In the gathering dark, the will of the Ring grows strong. It works hard now to find its way back into the hands of men. Men, who are so easily seduced by its power."

I have problems with the article; it doesn't make any sense.

"In mid-June 2001, a Toronto criminal who deals in illegal weapons was in south Florida where he bought the Glock and a Ruger from Dalling's boyfriend for $200 (U.S.)."

"Later that month, the illegal gun merchant met a truck driver in Miami and paid him $1,500 (Cdn.) to smuggle the Glock and the Ruger into Canada. The driver, who has never been found, drove north along the I-75, a favoured thruway route to Florida, and crossed into Ontario at Detroit."

"Davis, a kingpin in the Toronto gang scene, bought it for $200, although he never actually paid for it."

The reporter who wrote this is saying that the gun dealer lost several hundred dollars on the gun deal? How did he stay in business? Sounds to me like they haven't got a clue what was going on.

I was going to make the same argument as bobg but he beat me to it. This is BULLBUTTER to nth degree. Dalling and her BF must have been total idiots to sell a Ruger and a $500 Glock for $200. A $1500 smuggling fee plus an airline ticket to Kanada to sell a blackmarket Glock for $200??? NO WAY!!
