She should talk to some dealers on the street. I be they sell guns where anyone could pick them up. And without a background check and "cooling off" period!
Meanwhile, in the real world...
Does she know that, down deep in the North Pacific, lying silently in the water, are the 18 inch guns of the Yamoto? Who knows what they could be planning? They're not locked up! I'm scared too! And look! That musket on the wall! It's looking at me menacingly! It's saying, "If you don't get off of your dead ass and dust and lubricate me, I'm going to rust, and you're going to get mad".
