The Constitution of the United States and the State of Illinois both guarantees our citizens the right to keep and BEAR arms. The ability to “bear” arms has nothing to do with hunting, but has everything to do with the protection of our freedoms “also” guaranteed in the Bill of Rights.Randy Stufflebeam appears to get it. I would vote for him.
The criminal element already has easy access to weapons.
I would accept the background checks to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. However, I am against the foid card and any form of registration and would like to join other states in a concealed carry law.
Anyone who can't be trusted with a gun can't be trusted without a custodian.
Unfortunately, NICS and Form 4473 DO provide capabilities for registering non-criminals.
