Because Just Being a Citizen Isn't Important Enough

Go ahead and check a box, any box, to tell these elitists what you think of servants who would rule.

UPDATE: Just to show I never ask anyone to do anything I'm not willing to do myself:

I just did mine, what contempt I have for these people. This is my comment; "I am not a mayor, a member of the media or mayor's staff. I am a tax paying American and I despise your attempt to control and regulate me".

Me too. I let 'em have it with both barrels, from their disrespect for the Bill of Rights, to Bloomerg's illegal actions, to the fact that they don't want citizens praticipating. Then I warned them that we were watching them, verrry closely.

I was really surprised that some mayors from very pro-gun states were on the list. I hope that bodes ill for their political careers!

If you don't hear from me again, it is because BloominIdiot and his minions sent a hit squad for me.

Let's just say that I laid it on real thick. Going so far as to tell them they should be charged with criminal conspiracy. And, of course the usual 'tyrants' and 'usurpers', and beyond.

Did restrain from cursing, however. But, I'm guessing that they can probably read between the lines....

Well that was fun.

It is a sad statement that the Mayor of Dallas is a part of this crew

Here's what I wrote.

"How come there is no check box for citizen? By that very act you are effectively telling the american public that they don't matter. Gun control has a proven track record of increasing the murder rate among other violent crimes. You would disarm the lawful citizens while at the same time criminals, who by their very definition, will be free to rape, rob and murder without fear of consequences. The answer to crime is stopping the criminal, not stripping lawful citizens of their ability to defend themselves. I am reminded of governments contempt for me everyday by people like you. Instead of parading illeagle publicity stunts in front of the press, you should be solve the real cause of crime, and not blaming an inanimate object. I am a gun owner and a NRA member and I VOTE. I pay attention to those who would strip me of my constitutional rights. Pay attention to this, because there are millions of other people just like me, and they vote too."

The image in the article does not seem to link to the actual site; it's here.
My contribution:

Tell you what, how about a coalition for legal guns? High school civics classes that discuss why the Founders wrote the Second Amendment? School rifle clubs that teach kids not only how to shoot, but who and when? Public practice ranges with legal advice seminars? Riflemen in Citizen Emergency Response Teams? City militias?

All you mayors out there, you are protected. You either carry yourselves or you have armed body guards.

Those of us who vote for you have to depend on ourselves--"Call 911 and die" is our mantra. The police can tag the bodies, file the paperwork, and occasionally get a goblin locked up for a couple of years, but that's about it. Robbers, rapists, and murderers don't wait for us to get out our phones and call the cops.

The cities with the strongest gun control consistently vie for the highest murder rates. Schools aren't safe havens, they're victim disarmament zones. There's a reason Charles Roberts attacked an Amish school house: he knew no one there was willing to or capable of mounting a defense. (But when was the last time you heard of a mass murderer in a gun shop or at a shooting range?)

What actually saves the lives of peaceful, law abiding citizens is peaceful, law abiding citizens defending themselves with deadly force.

You cannot protect us. Let us protect ourselves, our families, and our neighbors.

Back. Off.

Mr. White, my mayor, will get a copy of this. He has just permanently lost my vote.

Oh, yeah: your contempt for your citizens is reflected in the lack of a "Citizen" checkbox below.

I'm including myself as a member of the media, because I have a blog, and am apparently a member of the press for the purposes of the McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Law.

Right, Dave, the picture's just a picture. The link is in the headline.

Well...

I waited all day, but no reply. Maybe they were so busy looking up E. David's references that they just did not get a chance to respond to my comments. Maybe tomorrow he he he...

Took the time to express my sentiments this morning. They'll be coming for me when they are done with you guys. Spent the rest of the day stashing ammo and guns throughout the house ...

Seriously, I doubt they will even notice us. I chided them for their love of power and how they have whored themselves to feast on it. I doubt they will take the time to step away from the trough long enough to bother to respond.
