"You can have press conferences all day," says Wayne LaPierre, NRA executive vice president. "Until you provide 100% enforcement of the existing laws, (criminals are) going to laugh at you, and ... go about their business."

I'm far more interested in Mayor Daley's initial quote in that story:
"A large majority of Americans want some form of common-sense gun legislation," Chicago Mayor Richard Daley said Wednesday at the kickoff for a regional strategy session of Mayors Against Illegal Guns. "They don't want irresponsible dealers to be allowed to sell guns in bulk to gang-bangers."
I guess all the laws on the books that already make this sort of thing illegal aren't really good enough...
...or maybe he only wants the responsible dealers to be able to sell guns in bulk to gang-bangers...
...or, perhaps, he'd be okay with dealers of any responsibility level selling guns one-at-a-time to gang-bangers...
Mayor Daley's position really isn't clear from what I can see here. I suspect this is why politics and liberal politicians often give me a headache.

Every "poll" I've seen on gun control always asks if one favors enforcing existing laws, or passing even stricter gun laws. None of them -- NOT ONE -- ever gives the choice of REPEALING all of these unConstitutional laws!

That's one of the more famous/notorious pictures of the federal government "enforcing existing gun laws" in Waco, TX.
NRA members will realize they're being used when...... Gun owner is emblazoned across their drivers license/National Socialist ID card........... Gun owners are directed on Alert System already on line and TV to report with one bag and family at transportation centers...... They are standing behind the barbed wire, seperated from their families, in prison garb, on work details, looking at the guards in the towers with NRA emblazoned on their armbands.......... When they're herded into large rooms with no windows and told to strip for a shower...........
