Well, the next time some poor co-ed is attacked by a rapist, she'll just be a quick phone call, and drive away from her gun!
I'd bet money that these types of rules are started, promoted, and pushed by predators...
Except for hand-to-hand combat, rwb, the "nonlethal" weapons you mention are all banned by campus policy.
Carrying a gun isn't the only method of self defense, but it certainbly is a great equalizer when the attacker enjoys the physical advantage usually present when males prey on females, weaker males, the disabled, etc.
Besides which, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
