Ericsson is charged with two counts of grand theft by possession of stolen items. Both charges are connected with former Idaho Falls prosecutor Kimball Mason.This guy's attitude plays right into our recurring theme here:

Idaho Falls Police Chief Kent Livsey...says regardless of what Ericsson thinks, he hates to see any police officer charged with a crime, because it tarnishes all officers.
Not "he hates to see officers COMMIT crimes"...he only hates to see the officers CHARGED with the crimes they commit because that makes it public and makes all cops look bad.
I'm sure that's not what he meant, but perhaps a "Freudian slip?"
