"More Effective"

Canadians can be assured that its new government remains committed to making gun control more effective and it continues to develop measures that will prevent firearms from falling into the wrong hands.
Those would be your hands, Canadian citizens...

Question for Stockwell Day, Minister of Public Safety: Come clean now, you had help coming up with your title from George Orwell, didn't you?

Naw, it was more like Robspierre and his Committee of Public Safety...

The sad thing is that the Conservative Party of Canada (formerly known as the Reform Party, then the Canadian Alliance Party), all three of which Stockwell Day was a prominent member, courted the Responsible Firearms Owners of Canada by promising to repeal the Liberal Party's onerous and draconian "gun control" legisliation known as Bill C-68 (The Firearms Act).

Now, they're trying this bait and switch crap by claiming that eliminating the "long gun registry" is "keeping their promise" - which it most patently is not.

It is a very sad state of affairs when your supposed allies in the fight for rights and freedom turn around and stab you in the back...

It's even sadder when your fellow gun owners fall for this kind of bullsh*t.
