Arms are for Shackles

This is no backwoods survivalist talking, just an African American who grew up in the South at a time when the people in uniform were often the bad guys, and when having a pistol or a shotgun to brandish saved a lot of black people's lives. That time is gone, though, and quelling the horrific black-on-black violence of today is so urgent that I can look past the history lesson.

Then you're a fool.

What you're saying is you learned nothing from the last time a people were oppressed, so you're inviting a recurrence. That and that you buy into the "living document" lie.

Don't know that "fool" would have been the term that I would have employed. Ignorant or ignoramus would seem to be more appropriate terms in this case. For this man totally dismisses the historical significance of racism in 'gun control'.

A free people will NOT remain free. If the tools for maintaining that freedom are removed. It's a mistake a free people get to make only once. After which, they are then slaves or dead.

The judges might well have been right on the law and the Constitution. But they were wrong to take a valuable tool away from law enforcement — the power to lock up a bad guy just for having a gun — in a city plagued by violent crime.

Unbelievable--the silly sycophant more or less admits the judges' decision was Constitutionally correct, but he still says they were wrong. He actually admits that he wants the Constitution violated. I'm accustomed to the civilian disarmament advocates wanting to wipe their backsides with the Bill of Rights, but I don't expect them to come out and say it. This, of course, is on top of the fact that the draconian gun laws have very clearly proven themselves to work directly against the goal which these people consider to be worth throwing freedom away for.

. . . so having tough laws to restrict the availability of firearms — especially handguns — should be a no-brainer.

Gun laws . . . no-brainer--I guess we do agree on something.

"...bad guy just because he has a gun..."

I wonder... Does he mean a criminal who also has a gun, or is anyone who has a gun a criminal?

He preaches not the rule of law, but the rule of tyrants.

What a bunch of crap!
