We're the Only Ones Getting Our Butts Kicked Enough

John Coffin won't spend any more time in jail for beating up two sheriff's deputies inside his house, striking one in the head with a Taser gun he took from the other...

But Coffin, 56, had a right to defend his family and property because the deputies had no right to be in Coffin's house in the first place...

This is the kind of stare decisis I culd live with.

And now the entire department will dedicate their entire life to destroying Mr Coffins'.
He will be dead or in jail within 6 months.
By winning in court, Mr. Coffin has 'dissed' the law enforcement community.
The deputies can't help it.
It is the way they are trained.
"All cops good, all not cops bad."
They will feel the over-powering need to 'regain face.'
Talk about your gang mentality...

I hope I'm wrong, but I've seen it too many times before.

me too.

Mr. Coffin needs to carry recorders everywhere he goes and/or have someone on hand just in case.

I have often asked how are the cops different from any other gang except for the stricter dress code.

One other thing. This is not a stare decisis I can live with.

If any one of us prevented a door on a private residence from closing, attacked the residents while in the possession of weapons, we would be doing some serious jail time in the big jail.

The judge already stated these cops were outside the law. That means they were felons committing B&E, aggravated assault with weapons specifications.

He cut them one Hell of a break. Do you think you could do be given a break like that? Not even if you saw your stolen car in their garage. For damn sure not when you're completely in the wrong as the judge stated these officers were.

Why should there have been any charge of taking an officer's weapon? At that point in time she was a felon, an armed felon whom the resident had every right to disarm and prevent from causing further harm to his wife.

This is still a case of special rules for the elite and their hired thugs.

True--in my email back to "Vinnie," who sent me this link, I wrote:
"Wonder what’ll happen if he doesn’t pay the fine?"

My remark was in reference to the statements I highlighted in my post.
