A comment poster over at KABA captured a screenshot from NRA-ILA (scroll down linked page) saying firearm training should be required before carrying a weapon. Apparently someone thought better of the wording choice and deleted it.

I guess it's not surprising that the NRA is trying to kill any legal challenge that could restore the 2nd Amendment.
There's obviously people with a HUGE financial stake in this issue.
If "gun control" (as we know its actually "poeple control) became a dead issue, the NRA would have to return to it's roots and promote the shooting sports and gun safety.
After reading those screen shots there's little wonder why NRA promotes anti-gun candidates and Project Exile.
Keeps them in business.
They can create a problem and supply a "solution."
There's a name for that. Remember the hegelian dialectic?
