Police shut down a building at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Monday after a faculty member reported seeing someone carrying in what looked like a gun case.

This is certifiable.
Besides, what kind of scofflaw would violate this?

I'm curious what the "gun case" looked like, and whether the person who observed it had any experience with firearms or their storage. Sounds like an idiot in a panic, to me.
