"All It Can"

The Tanaiste has insisted that the Government is doing all it can to rid society of gun crime.

Maybe it should try doing less?

The gun laws in teh Republic of Ireland just rpove that Eamon DeValera wasn't as American as he claimed.

Yes, the first President of the Republic of Ireland was an American, which is possibly what saved him from the firing squas after teh Easter Uprising of 1916.

Somehow I suspect that Pearse would not have followed the same path. OTOH, wihtout Pearse's martyrdom Ireland would likely have not attained freedom.

Sadly, the firearm laws were one of the big reasons that I never moved to Ireland.


Of course, totaly unrelated, is the fact that Ireland is having immigration problems...
