Doomed for failure. Of course, they will only acknowledge it after they themselves are in Hell because the tyranny they helped bring about murdered them (useful idiots first) as well as everyone else.

BTW, why were these "teenagers" allowed to be in the kind of places where they could get killed in the first place? I think I would blame the irresponsible parents first.

IngSoc is coming sooner than you can imagine, and this is just another example. The Thought Police will be watching you through the viewscreens to make sure that you aren't even looking at pictures of guns or knives.
