An Unauthorized Journalist

A television reporter investigating a story on school violence was arrested after carrying a loaded gun onto school property, authorities said.
Be nice if he uses this experience to champion RKBA from his position of influence--that is, if they let him retain his "authorized journalist" status.

It turns out David, that he was originally arrested for trespass because the cops didn't want him filming what was happening. It appears he never left the public sidewalk nor did he enter school grounds. When cops couldn't block the cameraman, they arrested the reporter.

It was not until after, that they realized he had a carry permit and was heeled. They are using his possession of a gun to divert attention from their own criminal acts and implying that the reporter broke the law, when in fact, he did not.

Hopefully they have created another one of us. A man dedicated to liberty and willing to speak the truth. Being treated to a sample of what us ordinary livestock, er, uh, citizens are customarily treated to, seems to have that effect when the insulated realize that they too are "those other people".

You know "those other people" that the law and its abuse is targeted at, not us, we're on their side, they wouldn't do us that way. Whoa, what the Hell do you mean I am "those other people"? That can be a very sobering moment for the self considered elite. Let's hope they (being cops, and their masters) have recruited another to our side.

straightarrow: +1! +1!
EXACTLY. They did not know he was carrying until AFTER the incident (filming an expose on violent schools). You can see the RAW footage shot by the cameraman that tells MORE of the story on the news channels' website:
http://www.local10.com/video/index.html
(look at the options on the right, I can't figure how to download them, but the raw footage is available - for now- 9min of it)

Hopefully people who see this story will not fall for the time-shift tactic being put on depicting these cops as dealing with an armed individual. (GASP! You mean, cops don;t magically KNOW when a person is carrying a gun! GASP!)
Though, even if they did know he was armed at the time, look at how they deal with it: "Sir, please go across the street."
And look at the officer doing most of the talking, walking right up into the reporter, stepping into his space, just about forcing him in specific directions by his weight and height? What if an ordinary citizen had been doing that, wouldn't that be considered menacing, or something?
