Teach Your Children Well

Gun safety is a lifelong learning experience for children in the Yough School District. The district starts with the basics, but by the time many of the kids graduate from high school, they've spent quite a bit of time on the gun range.

Good on them.

I guess my only question would be why all other school districts aren't doing this.

Hey! That looks like an "Authorized Jounalist" with a gun.

Coolish!

Will this be the end of her career?

Don't local school boards set at least some items on the curriculum? If "we" ran, or at least voted for, pro-gun school board members then we might see more of this kind of thing.

The world is run by those who show up...

Thanks for the heads-up. That school district is within an hour drive of me, and actually closer to where I work than where I live now. Looks like I know where I'm buying a house when it's time for me to raise children.

David, in answer to your question, that would be because programs such as this do more to ameliorate and/or eliminate the problems that are so profitable for the anti-gun groups and politicians.

It would be looked at by those two groups as a loss of power.

wow, some holdovers from the old days when schools had shooting clubs and we were lacking something...what was it...oh yeah! School shootings.

I've been saying the same thing as him for years...however the only flipside is look at how miserable sex ed has turned out. We had, or is it have, tons of unwed teenage "parents"...on second thought, more people buying guns wouldn't be a bad thing would it? carry on.
