We're the Only Ones Licensed to Kill Enough

"Do you think our police should adopt a shoot-to-kill policy when fighting crime?"

Sure, why not? After all, they are "The Only Ones."

Maybe it'll prompt an appropriate response from the minority who voted "No," but all things considered, I doubt it.

I'm sorry to nit-pick, but ANY time a firearm is drawn and pointed at a human being, it is with the intent to kill. If you don't intend to pull the trigger (contingent on them not following instructions to stop attacking you, or to drop their weapon), you shouldn't be pointing it at them anyway.

A firearm isn't a magic talisman that you can wave in the general direction of someone you think is a "bad guy".

- If you're pointing it, you're ready to shoot.
- If you're ready to shoot, you're ready to kill.

"Shooting to wound" is pure movie/TV BS.

The article admittedly doesn't give much detail on when a shooting decision should be made--the way it's written is almost like it's saying shoot first before even trying to arrest, as that poses too much risk.

Just don't admit that if it ever happens, Blackwing 1. Say you were shooting to stop. Better for legal reasons.
