OMG I read that book in college - probably the most boring read ever I promise. It's basically a transcript of what he lectured. The main point is "don't worry about trying to explain every exact little detail about how the market works, but know that it does work and you can count on it to provide every good imaginable."

Not to worry, Hard Corps--PJ O'Rourke has written "On the Wealth of Nations," that essentially gives us the Reader's Digest version in modern language to make it not only palatable but interesting to a contemporary readership.

Smith's work truly was one of the most important books of the past 250 years, but it is a chore for most who are not scholars.
